I know we've had our personal issues, and I know we don't always get along, but you have to know I still care about you. I have a pretty big favor to ask. Please, for the love of all things holy, please beat Boise State. Saturday I will have my behind firmly planted on your bandwagon, in fact if I had a Beavers hat I might even wear it...okay maybe not, but I'm REALLY pulling for you. Please just do me this solid, we can go back to not getting along in December. Deal?
Sincerely,
Metroid Die Hard Oregon Ducks Fan
P.S. Smack SC in the mouth in November also would ya? Thanks.
Oh, and Metroid........ I'm so with you on that! I'd even sport a Beaver hat if I had one. Well, I say that, but not sure if I could pull it off. But I'm with ya... ever since that cheap shot that knocked Masoli out of the '08 game at Autzen, I kinda hate the Broncos.
Problem with watching the game today is THAT NASTY-A** TURF makes it downright unenjoyable. Dang, it's just gross.
Yo, Met... thanks for the sig! GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hate Boise because I'm sick of hearing how "they belong." Honestly though, I don't hate Boise, just like I don't hate TCU. I just hate hearing "they belong" in the national championship picture.

Yep... run the table with a real schedule - then let's talk.
Upsets galore pending today. UCLA laying pipe on Texas (27-6) and Arkansas up by 7 over Alabama.

It was nice of you guys to try to add some positive karma, but in the end it was just as I expected. Those refs missed a few calls, the helmet to helmet on James and the 3-4 horse collars. Other than the hit on James, it really didn't impact the game all that much.

Ugh...that was the ugliest marathon game I've seen out to the Ducks in a LONG time. I'm glad to come out with the W but jebus that was a poor showing. Oregon gave up nearly 600 yards of total offense and were only 2-13 on 3rd down. Not good at all. If it wasn't for Threet giving us the ball all night this game would have been much different.
One thing though, and I rarely bitch about the refs, but the officiating was just dreadful. Seriously that was some of the worst I have ever seen. That "incomplete pass" by the ASU receiver where he took 5 steps with the ball, buckled his own leg, and dropped the ball, which Oregon scooped up and was about to house...what the hell? Also on the same play, I'm pretty sure after they blew the call by blowing the whistle early, they changed fields for the quarter, but then moved the clock back to the third quarter without moving the ball back. If the ball was at the 30, they put it on the wrong 30, putting the Ducks 40 yards back from where they should have been. With the penalty they would have been in easy FG range, so they cost the Ducks 6 with the bad whistle and then cost them 3 with a 40 yard bad spot.
Like I said, I'll take it but if we're going to compete with Stanford next week we'd better get our shiz together.
