Pick up Snelling???

Postby mikeys » Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:18 am

I have Turner and Mathews as my RB1/RB2 I missed out on Tolbert to replace Mathews this week so I went with Portis. My other running backs are not producing at this point(TJones,JStewart,FJones) so I'm wondering if I should pick up Snelling thinking he may eventually produce more then Turner if the Burner continues down his injured path. Thanks.

It won't hurt especially with Norwood is out, Snelling will be the primary backup for MT. Groin injury may keep at less than 100%.

Yes I'd pick him up and drop T. Jones. If there's one thing for sure in the NFL, it's that Michael Turner will be injured at some point in every season.

only reason to pick him up is if you have roster room and dont feel comfortable that Turner will stay healthy. I think he would have come back last week had it not been a blow out. Honestly I think he's fine and that the roster spot could be filled with a better option.

If you can get Snelling you MUST... just in case Turner goes down (a real probability) Just ask your self who you'd replace him with if he did and you didn't have Snelling. Of you three other RB's I agree that I'd probablly let T. Jones go before Stewart or F. Jones.

Definitely pick him up as a handcuff to Turner for your own safety. Atlanta will get its RB points, regardless of who that RB actually is. Plus, groin injuries tend to linger, and as has been said, Turner has shown that he can miss multiple games due to injury.

Of the three backs, personally, I might drop Felix before Thomas...not because I think T. Jones is better, but because as things currently stand, his coach seems to like him a WHOLE lot more (Jones is actually playing and only has one RB to compete for carries with, as opposed to poor Felix who's stuck in some inexplicable/nonsensical timeshare).

It's really a coinflip, though, and long-term, Felix is probably your better option. KC simply has to let Charles be the premier back at some point. One would think, anyway...
