WR2 help! Smith (NYG), Clayton, or Floyd

Postby RedBirdChica » Sat Sep 25, 2010 6:51 pm

Help me pick my WR2! I have Floyd penciled in atm, due to his nice matchup against Seattle's weak secondary. However - Clayton should shred through the skins defensive backs - though I have (unfounded?) questions regarding his QB.

I know that Steve Smith (NYG) ranks way above this guys in most 'expert' polls ... but Tennessee's defense scares the bejesus out of me. I don't think they've given up a TD through the air this (young) season ... though perhaps they're due????

WHIR!!! with full analysis

QB: Philip Rivers
RB: Ahmad Bradshaw
RB: Arian Foster
Flex: Tim Hightower
WR: Andre Johnson
WR: Malcom Floyd
TE: Marcedes Lewis
D/ST: Vikings D/ST
K: Matt Prater

BE Jamaal Charles
BE Steve Smith (NYG)
BE Mark Clayton
BE Jacoby Jones
BE Kellen Winslow
BE Braylon Edwards
BE Ben Roethlisberger

PPR league I'd still stick with Smith. I think Finnegan will be on Nicks for that game and Smith will have some open shots. Non PPR I'd stick with Floyd.

Good luck

AH - meant to add that it is a standard, non PPR league. 2 point bonus for TD catches/runs over 50 yards.

Hello,

Steve smith is your man.

Flloyd and Leguduu seem to fight for the #1 spot where Steve smith already is.

Even though Nicks seems to get TD's its time for Smith to shine like he did last season.

Isn't Nicks hurt? I want to say Smith but i'm not sure you can ignore the match up that Floyd has. Plus, they are a pass first team, where as the Giants like to run, and will do more of this week than the two prior from what they are saying to the media... I stick with Floyd.

I don't know where my post on this thread ended up...

But I would say Steve Smith.

Eli is a good match for Steve Smith, plus they are playing at home.

The fact that Steve Smith hasn't scored much during the early weeks to me seems to be more bad luck than anything.

Hakeem Nicks (NYG) is always good, plus Manningham (NYG) is becoming a good viable option for the future

Chris Johnson (TN) is always a problem no matter where he plays, but I think that Smith is overdue for a few TDs.

Either clayton or floyd, slight edge to clayton due to consistency.

i also like clayton...and smith...remember i had the desision beteween clayton and harvin....and as i thought about it i realized clayton has been way to consistent this season to bench him....personally this will be the first time i'm playing him as i picked him up in weeks 2 waiver and got some bad advice to play harvin (bad idea but still got the W) ....i say let him make the desision when he wants to go to the bench...lol...when he stops playing so good then bench him! ;-D
Good luck and thank you for helping with mine
standard league flex RB/WR option
QB Mat Schaub
RB Adrian Peterson, Lesean McCoy, Ronnie Brown (flex)
WR Reggie Wayne, Percy Harvin
Def. Dallas
Bench: QB Kevin Kolb, Michael Vick
RB Justin Forsett, Laurence Moureny
WR Kris Chambers, Mark Clayton
