Charles/Williams for Austin - WHIR

Postby oxhammer » Sat Sep 25, 2010 7:01 pm

I was offered Jamaal Charles and Roy Williams for Miles Austin. There's no way I'm taking that trade. Williams has no value. Austin for Charles straight up isn't good. Austin for Rice might work since I might be able to buy low on him. Hate to have both Flacco and Rice though. Owens for Charles maybe? Don't think he'll take it. He needs WR help and I need RB help. Basically, I'm looking for some counter offers cause I think something could happen here. Thanks in advance

Hmm, First, your team is awesome other than RB depth. I don't think you need to do anything. I just think if you trade a WR for a RB, you are taking a hit to your WR depth that's pretty big. Unless you think Williams from Seattle is serviceable. If you could get Charles for Owens, I would take that and risk the WR depth. I wouldn't get rid of Austin or MOss in a 14 team league though.

help?

12 Team League. We start 2 QBs and get .5 PPR, otherwise standard scoring
QBs: Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Collins
RBs: Charles, Mendenhall, Best, Starks, Carter, Karim
WRs: D. Jackson, Marshall, S. Smith, Green,
TE: Hernandez, Cook

Thanks. Everyone was going RB crazy. I didn't want to reach. Ended up with practically nothing at RB. If either Wells or Harrison becomes serviceable, my team could do something. Luckily, with Flacco stinking, I have Big Ben as insurance. Even with my roster's shaky start, I've started 2-0.

I like Owens for Charles. Might be feasible if Owens had produced a bit more already. Would be nice to take him from that team too. Then, Hightower lose time to Beanie leaving him weak at RB. I can dream! :)

If you are 2-0, then for sure don't do anything drastic. Wells is coming back and with your WRs, you should be fine. And Ben will be back week 6. But if you can get Charles for TO, that's icing.

Charles for Owens was rejected. Any more ideas for offers?
