McCoy/Wallace for White.....WHIR

Postby Hoosierdad » Sat Sep 25, 2010 10:50 pm

I'm trying to set a record with offers and counter offers from another team (not really, but it feels like it). He's hurting for WR help and is loaded with RBs. He's thinking about this deal I just mentioned to him.

McCoy/Wallace for Roddy White.

My team is in my sig. It knocks my WRs down a good bit. But, if Mathews comes back healthy and plays well, I'll have some good trade material at RB to upgrade my WRs.

Am I crazy for giving up Roddy?

I don't think I'd do this deal. Especially in a 1/2 pt ppr league. Roddy is your #1 WR and I don't think you have enough WR depth to do this deal. I would counter off Jennings and see if he bites. Othewise I'd stay put.

I think you do this in a heart beat. McCoy is going to get a ton ove receptions with Vick in as QB and i'll take a top RB over top15 WR any day.

This is a tough one for me ... I think I'd be very tempted though. With Mathews hurting ... and with you not really having a solid 3rd RB, I think I'd be very tempted. Bush is hurt and competing with dmac, and I just dont like the TB running situation, either. Your RB's are similar to mine, but I just dropped Caddy for Tolbert.

My only dislike is Mike Wallace. Maybe he'll put up better numbers when rapelisburger comes back, but its hard to replace roddy white production with a guy like wallace. If you could get a slight upgrade from Wallace, I'd do this in a heart beat.

Help me out man?

Offer him Jennings straight up for his McCoy. That is better for your team.

Agreed on last suggestion. I loved Jennings going in, but ARod will be spreading it around (Jennings will have some clunkers) while Roddy White should be sweet all year.

McCoy will help you, but I'm not convinced yet either he will produce at a solid level while I am behind White completely. While I value RB's way more, I wouldn't want to trade White for him yet...

If you can get away with Jennings for McCoy as the previous poster suggested, then do that for sure. But even your original trade seems pretty attractive to me. Foster and McCoy would be a pretty sweet combo, and your WRs can probably take the hit. I drafted Wallace with hopes that he will become a reliable WR2 once Ben returns...he won't be Roddy White, but he should hold his own.

I agree with Maddog, Offer Jennings straight up, if that doesnt work I would do the trade if you figure McCoy to outscore White in your scoring format. Either way McCoy is going to get more touches as he is a Rb who also is also gets receptions, but his stock is the highest right now to buy.

+1 for Jennings/McCoy. A more direct impact on your team and less hassle in the future. And I'd dare to say you'll see more return than him....IMO.
