Should I accept this trade? WHIR

Postby briggs820006 » Sun Sep 26, 2010 2:16 am

Here is what has been proposed to me (in a standard scoring, 2XRB, no flex league):

My - Tony Romo, Pierre Thomas, Cadillac Williams
For His - Aaron Rodgers, Jamal Charles

As much as I like Romo, that Cowboys team is headed for a meltdown (especially if they lose to the Texans this week), so Rodgers goes from a slight to moderate upgrade. Thomas and Charles are almost a wash, in my opinion. Thomas will get more touches with Bush out, but I think Charles has the higher fantasy ceiling if the Chiefs begin to realize that he needs to have the ball more. Cadillac was getting dropped for a bye week defense or kicker anyway, so he's a throwaway at this point.

I'm on the fence, possibly leaning towards accepting the deal. Your thoughts?

Aaron Rodgers, Jamal Charles if that clears a roster space you need. This upgrades your lineup. If you are seriously considering just discarding Caddy, a starter, then you must have great depth, so I would do it.

I like this trade for you...Romo and the Cowboys are starting to make me nervous. Rodgers is a decent upgrade. I too think that Charles will eventually be having his role increased...he makes a nice buy-low IMO. Do it!

Please help?

I wouldn't do this and I wouldn't look back. Romo is fine and theres no need to worry, he will still throw for a lot of yards whether they win or not. Thomas is the new RB1 in NO and he was a beast when Bush was there, he will wreck now thats its just him. And throwing Caddy in there just to say you are....pointless. Rodgers is a great QB but even though I think charles will eventually do very well, the difference between him and Thomas is too big.....and then you're throwing caddy in there. Maybe you have gone to the future in your delorean to see that charles will be a beast and Romo will suck, but I doubt it, and therefore I would stay put.

I would do it with no problem. Rodgers is much better and plays against weaker pass defenses on a team that is pass first now that Grant is out. Also, Charles should start to win back more carries. Hope this helps.
