Best has performed like a stud, but I wouldn't start expecting that every week. Thomas will be at home, and should see more touches with Reggie Bush out. He is actually quite good at catching out of the backfield and should score. He is on a team who is playing at home, with a better offense and a better defense. So he should have more opportunities to score, and if the Saints build a lead (which is far more likely than the Lions building a lead), PT also gets to function as the clock eater.
On the road vs CHI Best only averaged 1.4 ypc, and fewer than 40 total yards from scrimmage. His game was saved by hit two TDs. At home he had a huge game vs the Eagles who have a problem stopping screens, but a lot of his yardage came off a 75 yd pass.
JMO. Both guys are startable, but PT is in a better position, and Best is due for a down game. The Vikes don't want to start off 0-3.
It's time to put down the crack-pipe and step away from the keyboard.
