So the title says it all - My Foster/Clayton for MJD/Dez Bryant.
At first glance, I want to accept the trade before he pulls it off the table. However, after further thought, I am not so sure the trade is good for me. I am real high on Foster and his potential this season with the O-LINE that he has and the lethal weapons at their disposal taking some heat off him. On the other hand, MJD is very intriguing but he plays on a god awful offense and Garrard has looked worse and worse each week. I don't know much about the Jags O-LINE but I usually try to get players who have good blockers (obviously had to take AP @ #4.) Part of me is worried about MJD's health and how much they are going to depend on him this year--he could break down. I don't know if I want to trade a slightly hurting MJD for a healthy Foster who has plenty of upside.
In regards to the Clayton for Dez portion of the trade I am rather indifferent. Sure, Dallas has plenty of options, but they have been giving the rook some attention so far into the season. I like his upside later on down the road. With Clayton, he appears to be the #1 guy in St. Louis on a team that is not afraid to let their young QB put it in the air so it could go either way.
One thing is for sure, this is the kind of trade that can make a good team a legit contender. One who strikes fear into his opponent weekly.
Any and all input will be appreciated on this huge trade for my team and I will help in return, just leave a link to your post in the reply.
My Team:
QB: Flacco, Big Ben WR: Roddy, Greg Jennings, Mark Clayton, TJ Housh RB: Peterson, Arian Foster, Tolbert, Jacobs, Hillis TE: J. Finley DEF: GB K: Sea Bass
Can't believe I'm saying this if you really think about it, but I would stay tight with Foster. I am really high on him and have been a fan since his UT days. Mjd is a beast but with a shit O-Line a beast can be caged
Anybody else have any advice for a guy?? At this point I am leaning towards declining this offer but I will let it sit there and simmer for a bit. Gonna have to consult with some experts on the topic @ work tomorrow.
I feel there is too much upside for Foster with the RB depth chart, O-LINE, and offensive potency for me to want to accept the trade and see what MJD does, which could very well be amazing.
One of my favorites, "Past performance is no guarantee of future results." Typically used in finance.
Fosters outlook appears more reliable/consistent and not as speculative as MJD's with the Jags offense.

God yes. You're selling high on two players, and buying low on another two.
Dez has been a decent flex option already, and I'm sure he'll find the end zone plenty of time by the end of the season. Meanwhile, you're getting the ultimate buy low on Jones-Drew. I mean, if someone told you at the draft you could have a healthy Jones-Drew and Peterson on your team, you wouldn't believe them.
Yes, the Jags offense hasn't been great and that makes Jones-Drew not sound like a very appealing fantasy option, but on the other hand this is a trade that could potentially win you your league.

it also gives him an injured starter who is only going to get further beat up before the playoffs, while losing a healthy strong starter who is putting up good stats week in and week out.
safer choice is foster. slightly higher reward with way way higher risk is MJD.
