we start 3 receivers - right now my receivers are Andre Johnson, Greg Jennings, Hakeem Nicks. My only bench WR is Mike Wallace. 6 man bench. Or would stashing Rice allow me to use another WR as trade bait...

Unless one of those guys gets hurt, Rice probably isn't worth starting over them. With your limited bench space, unless the player you're going to drop for Rice is really crummy, there isn't much reason to pick him up. Your bench is too small.
