So I could say that my starting running backs
Pierre Thomas
Michael Turner
broke even in week 3 with their projected value. (Thomas didn't get as many carries as I was hoping for, but Turner got way above the stats projection.)
Regrettably, I also benched Ahmad Bradshaw in week 3, and now wish I hadn't in favor of Pierre Thomas.
That being said, I need to very wisely pick who my starting two will be in week three. I released Tolbert and Brandon Jackson into free agents in favor of David Akers and Roethlisberger,(with reservation, but if I'm nice to the agent pool, maybe it will continue being nice to me) but I suppose I could reacquire one of them if opinion dictates that I should. I also have Hightower on my roster from week 1.
At the moment, Week 4 has Pierre Thomas playing Carolina at home, and Michael Turner playing at San Francisco. Seeing how SF did against New Orleans in week 2, I might be inclined to keep Turner on the start for now. Which essentially leaves me with either Bradshaw or Thomas at the start. I'm keeping Hightower on the bench for now, so as to be able to make another claim (ie for a good wide receiver or injury) if I need to, without sacrificing a potential starter.
