RB corps decimated - WHIR

Postby buckeye2k9 » Mon Sep 27, 2010 2:50 pm

Hi guys. The past two weeks I've lost Mathews and Best. I also have Bradshaw who is a decent option but my last RB is S.Greene, who of course has been godawful. Unfortunately due to some wonky league rules I'm stuck with Greene for now unless I can unload him through a trade. Long story short, I have a couple options that came up. I have offers that bring me either McFadden or McCoy as the main piece of the trade coming to me. My question is which one of these two backs do you feel is the better option for the duration of the season? McFadden seems like the better pick now, but my concern will be what will happen when M Bush gets back to 100%...

Keep in mind our scoring is also a little wierd in that in addition to your standard scoring system we also collect 1 pt per rush attempt/rec/comp. We start 2 RB's BTW...

Thanks!!

Helps to know your roster and what these trades entail...

From a McFadden v McCoy I'd go with McCoy. Vick won't be able to throw the ball like he has the past two weeks once Philly starts seeing real DEF. This should translate into more touches for McCoy. McFadden does look good but the Raiders will be sure to find a way to destroy that.

Ironically enough, I have Best, Bradshaw, and LT.

I like McCoy as a better option if you're in a PPR league. McFadden has been a much better rusher thus far, but I really can't trust any Raider players, especially when his first three opponents were Tennessee, St. Louis, and Arizona. Also, I'd be more worried about McFadden getting injured as well, seeing as he hasn't had the cleanest bill of health in his first three seasons.

i would definitely try to get mccoy over mcfadden. bush will take away some touches from mcfadden, but mccoy is the better guy for receptions and carries in my opinion.

help me please: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=477093

Thanks. My roster:
QB: Brees / Cutler
RB: Mathews/Best/Bradshaw/Greene
WR: A. Johnson/Ochocinco/Driver/Bowe/Williams (TB)
TE: Keller/Winslow
K: Vinatieri/Nugent
D: NE/TB

I send Cutler,Greene,Driver
I get McFadden/S.Holmes/Kolb
or
I get McCoy/Manningham/Kolb

I would just need to hold on to Kolb for 3 more weeks until he is eligible to be dropped under our league rules. We MUST maintain these qtys of players at each position. Our first three draft picks are protected and can only be traded for another protected player. They cannot be dropped unless they are not playing for 5 wks (wierd i know). So basically i can afford the dead weight at backup QB better than RB at the moment lol.
