Jacoby v Asomugha? WHIR

Postby BearsFan65 » Tue Sep 28, 2010 12:51 pm

Ok, really detailed question, but I know at least one of you knows this: does Asomugha play one side of the field, or does he cover his assignment no matter where he lines up? I'm thinking Jacoby Jones makes a nice play if they give AJ the week off to rest that ankle, but curious as to what the Raiders might do with their coverage assignments. WHIR, thanks!

I don't know the answer to your question on Asomugha, but my guess is that he'll be on Andre Johnson all day, who is going to be fine for this matchup. Day off? What is this, baseball? Asomugha held Johnson to 2 catches for 66 yards in last year's matchup, so I think Jacoby, Walter, and Daniels will all get targets this week, but there won't be much to go around. Texans destroyed the Raiders last year by pounding the rock, splitting 36 carries between two RB's.
Foster for 150 yards this week.

I love this place. I get more info than I asked for, and it's good info too. Makes me happy that Foster is my RB2 (RB1 this week with AP on a bye). Thanks!

Just did a bit of research on Asomugha also, cause I got curious. Oakland and Green Bay are two teams (and from what I've seen, the Jets) that play mostly man-to-man coverage and not so much zone, and Asomugha is the best the Raiders have at it, so he'll definitely be on Johnson all day.
