I just picked up Gaffney this week (after dropping him last week). We'll see what happens, but I'd rather have Roy Williams between the two. Gaffney's problem is he could be anywhere from receiver 1 to 4 on a given week for the Broncos. Some weeks it'll be Royal, some Lloyd, some D.Thomas, and some Gaffney.
Williams is going to have a hard time shaking the "bust" label from his struggles the past two years. I'm expecting Williams to return to his 2006-2007 numbers now that he's not considered the No. 1 receiver. With Miles Austin getting so much attention, Williams should have more chances. And Romo can throw.
If you have Williams I can not see you starting both him and Bryant, however, I would be quickest to drop Crabtree or Williams. I am still curious to see how Crabtree is used with the OC so if I did have to chose between the two I would drop . Williams if you really wanted to make this move.
Personally, I'm higher on both Bryant & Mike Williams than Roy Williams. That being said, knowing how thin I am at RB, would it be better for me to stand pat or drop Jackson for Roy Williams and try to trade one of my WR's for a better RB?
I am more on board with that. Jackson is dead right now from a fantasy perspective. WIth Lynch getting most of the work and the Bills trying to integrate Spiller into the offense it doesn't leave a ton left over for Jackson. However, if Lynch is just being showcased for a trade, I don;t think Spiller starts, I think they bring in Jackson as the starter and keep CJ in his current role. So in time, it may be a loss.
But given your depth at WR you may be able to get away with Williams and put together a package for a second tier running back. I wouldn't be surprised if a Crabtree/M. WIlliams or Crabtree/Bryant bought you an Ahmad Bradshaw or D. Mac type player.
