I am in a 12 team standard scoring Yahoo league, where we get to keep one player at the end of the season. I have been offered the trade of Charles for Hillis. The owner of Hillis has been pushing to make the trade the past two weeks, but I have been reluctant to do it. I think Charles will go off in the second half of the season. Let me know what you think. I really need help at receiver and have not been able to get him to accept any of my counter offers for his receivers. If you see a trade that might work let me know. Leave your link and I will help you out as well.
You definitely can't give Charles for just Hillis, if the Hillis owner is really pushing for Charles, you at least know he's pretty high on him and wants to get a deal done before Charles has a big game that ups his value. I'm not as high on Charles as others are, to be honest I think that in FF we lose sight of how real football works, and in reality, Thomas Jones is a veteran who can provide a good presence in the backfield and is reliable enough to hold onto the ball and drive it, even if he's not as explosive. Charles is young, and I think the Chiefs want him to ease into the role and learn from Jones, so it may be a while until he actually gets more a of a workload.
Try to maybe get a deal done with Hillis plus a WR for Charles, and just tell him that it's not going to get done unless you get a WR on top of what he's offering. No point in beating around the bush when you're at an impasse. If he doesn't want to give up a WR, then you'll have to trade somewhere else.
You can do better than Hillis for Charles. Don't do it. KC has the best rushing offense in the NFL, and Hillis is on a bad team. Don't trade for Hillis when his value is at its peak... your trade partner is buying low and selling high to get a much more valuable player.
