hey everyone, im in a 10 team ppr league with standard scoring, 6pts per td and 1ppr.. I know i need help on the ww and not sure what i should do about my team.
My Team: QB- P. Manning RB- Moreno RB- Hightower WR- A. Johnson WR- R. White RB/WR- Steve Smith(car) TE- T. Gonzalez K- Rackers DEF- Jets
Bench- M. Lynch, Demeryius Thomas, Mike Williams(Tam), Green-Ellis, Tolbert.
I was thinking about dropping Demeryius Thomas and tolbert since it seems that mathews is back and since Denver spreads the ball all over and picking up either Lance Moore, Braylon Edwards, chris ivory, Jabar Gaffney, Nate Washington/Kenny Britt, Danny Amendola, Blair White, Ricky Wiliams (dont like bc plays TOUGH defenses and is backup).. please help and ill do the best i can to help you also.
I also offered a deal of Steve Smith for Cendric Benson which im hoping he will accept.
Thanks for the help on mine. I would keep Thomas. They throw it a lot, and he could outscore those on the list even though they do spread it around. As for Tolbert, I would rather have Ricky Williams. Only because if Brown gets hurt, he'll get a lot of carries. Of course, the same could be said of Mathews, so if you think Mathews may be more hurt than they are leading on, can keep him. Either guy is an inury play.
12 Team League. We start 2 QBs and get .5 PPR, otherwise standard scoring QBs: Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Collins RBs: Charles, Mendenhall, Best, Starks, Carter, Karim WRs: D. Jackson, Marshall, S. Smith, Green, TE: Hernandez, Cook
Thanks for the help on mine…good advice. I hate to ask but how did you end up with this team…Auto draft? At this point you will probably have to trade one of your studs Like manning on Johnson for a RB, if you can I would look to who is holding onto MJD as he has been disappointing this year and look to move Johnson for him as johnson has an ankle problem. Hold on to Thomas for now, Try to deal Tolbert to the Matthews owner for a tier 2 or tier 3 WR not sure who he has. The guys I’ve got on my scout team this week are Ryan Torain, Danny Woodhead and LeGarret Blount, you can also start looking at backups with upside like Bernard Scott, Javon Ringer or Chris Ivory….Anything at this point in the season is a long shot but as is the case every year someone will emerge. For a real long shot look to score Kenneth Darby, it looks like Steven Jackson might miss some time with this groin injury.

well i heard that mathews is healthy again and will be playing.. I need to find a player that i can play on a bye week or who can become a solid play during a week. Ricky williams has a terrible schedule for rbs and ronnie brown seems like hes not slowing down. I had him before and williams has been garbage for me.
take the trade ( steve smith for benson ). you're STACKED at wr. also, i'm not impressed with jimmy clausen, and even before clausen was a starter, panthers are a running team 1st.
benson will help your rb situation. palmer has too many weapons to be bad all season. they'll click eventually and benson will be as good as last yr.
drop both tolbert and d. thomas. tolbert won't see much action after mathews returns healthy. d. thomas is banged up and orton spreads the ball like he's pretending to be brees.
2 temporary pick ups would be braylon or lance moore. braylon will do good until holmes comes back in wk 5. moore will do good until reggie bush comes back. saints like to line moore up in the slot with bush out.
I guess I'm not sre what your after. I assume its a RB upgrade. I would be careful with the trade you have offered because Lewis has stated that Benson will see less carries because Scott will get more. You may want to try to trade a stud WR for a stud RB. I know that White and Johnson are hard to let go of but they would truley warrant a stud back in my opinion. Hope this helps.
so if i ended up trading like andre johnson and say hightower for austin and charles, or desean jackson and mccoy that would be good? i may be able to pry peterson and jennings for andre and hightower or some other rb not named moreno.. whattaya think would be best?
i would take the trade, Benson for Steve Smith, and maybe take Edwards off the wire, for now he is the big play threat on that team, and Thomas is part of a very croweded WR core
Add Ricky Williams, at least he is getting some carries and might scrape up a TD here and there. Your RB looks weak with Moreno uncertain and Hightower with Wells back.
Drop Thomas for Moore..if you can't hang onto Tolbert drop him for Edwards. Your WR looks okay but that seems your best options from what you listed.
Drop Tolbert and d.Thomas and pick up ricky and l. moore...like the trade for benson for steve smith.
here's something intresting i found about lance moore, when reggie bush is OUT... Lance Moore (WR - NO) - On the surface, Lance Moore is in a similar situation to Brandon Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney in Denver. Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, Robert Meachem, and Jeremy Shockey are all still here stealing targets, and Brees is a master of spreading the ball around. But over the years, Moore's production has shown a pretty interesting pattern. It appears to be directly tied to Reggie Bush being out with an injury! Moore burst onto the scene in 2008 with 79 receptions for 928 yards and 10 TDs. A closer look at the game log shows that when Reggie Bush went down with an injury in Week 7, Moore really turned it on. In weeks 8-12 with Bush out, Moore's lines were as follows:
Bush reinjured himself and missed weeks 16 and 17, and once again, Moore stepped up his game:
Week 16 - 4 catches for 36 yards Week 17 - 8 catches for 91 yards, 2 TDs
All said, Moore had 55% of his yardage and 8 of his 10 TDs in the 6 games Bush missed due to injury in 2008. So far in 2010, in the one game Bush has missed due to injury, Moore racked up 6 catches for 149 yards and 2 TDs. How is that for a trend?
As a person who rarely gets to watch the Saints, I can't say for sure that Moore is running routes that would be run by Bush, but it is clear he is on the field more, and more involved in the passing attack when Bush is out of action. With Reggie expected to miss another 3-5 weeks, consider Lance Moore a solid pickup and a decent flex play.
