Trade J.Charles for Ray Rice or PT? WHIR

Postby willb » Wed Sep 29, 2010 1:35 pm

i'm looking at a proposed trade. i give charles and get rice. i'm thinking i can buy low on rice with his bruised knee.
i know that charles is an explosive back and is avg 8.5 per touch, but coach haley is crazy.

he also has pierre thomas, which i'm also interested in. should i make an offer for him instead?

i have:

brees
mathews
charles
desean
hicks
forsett
keller
dez
greene
harvin
spiller
holmes

10 team
non ppr
15yds = 1pt returning and receiving
25yds = 1pt ko and punt returns

leave me a link!!

maybe you can do mathews and charles for rice and thomas? i think pt is a better player than mathews and rice and charles could go either way, charles could blow up anytime but seems like his coach doesnt know what the hell hes doing. Rice is usually a beast and his leg should be fine soon and he is a top 4 rb in the league..If you can get PT and Rice for Mathews and Charles that would be awesome, just be careful with PT's possible injury.

Please help with mine..

I would go after Rice over PT. He's been up against some tough defenses, and I'm very confident he turns it around. Both of these players have injury concerns, and you may actually want to stand pat. Charles has been great in limited work, and I'm convinced that he'll be a top guy at the end of the season, when it counts.

Are you winning games, or do you need to make a move now before falling behind in your league? If you're doing OK, I'd stand pat. If you need to do well NOW, well, I'm not sure either guy is the player you should be targeting. Rice is a bad call for this week, and the PT cruiser is on a bad wheel.

So... if you're looking for long-term value, I like Rice more of those two options. But Charles should be a strong option as well. If Thomas sees even a slight decline in carries, Charles' value will skyrocket.
