PIT vs BAL Fantasy Outlook

Postby u_fig_eater » Wed Sep 29, 2010 1:55 pm

PIT vs BAL this week is obviously a physical match-up. I have this crazy idea though, that PIT may throw the ball enough to make their WRs usable(?) As in, if you start them normally you can still start them? It's kind of pick your poison in terms of running the ball against Baltimore or throwing it, but last I heard their secondary was all banged up. Foxworth and Reed are out.

So would Pittsburgh rather test their backups, or Ray Lewis? Am I insane for thinking Mike Wallace and Hines Ward are usable? Or do you just want to avoid this slug fest?

PS I know the Steelers are starting Charlie Batch... !+)

I have Mendenhall and I am starting him. Baltimore gave up 179 yards last week in their home opener to Cleveland. Hillis flat ran over them to the tune of 144 yards and by game's end, they wanted no part of tackling him... Mendehall is on a tear right now and I think he gets 100 and a score. I do see the Steelers coming out and throwing early though, even with Batch. Ward and Miller may be the better play then Wallace (and I have Wallace) as he needs time to get deep.. I am sure he will get a few deep passes. I cant wait for this slugfest. This to me is one of the best rivalry games in teh NFL and always an uber-physical game... ;-D

I typically don't like starting players in this game, because half of them typically leave on a cart or are otherwise useless by halftime. I don't like it when my players only play one quarter.

Looks like Rice is ailing. I predict Ryan Clark decapitates himself and Willis McGahee again.
