Which RBs to start... WHIR

Postby dareal81 » Wed Sep 29, 2010 4:46 pm

Standard scoring, ten team league, I'm choosing from:

Arian Foster @Oak
Frank Gore @Atl
Steven Jackson vSea
Ronnie Brown vNE
Darren McFadden vHou
Joseph Addai @Jax

I'm leaning towards the first two, but knowing what Brown has done to New England before, as well as McFadden's surprisingly excellent start, has given me pause... frankly, I'd quite like to trade one of these guys for a beast WR, but my fellow owners are being a bit painful about trading (though I did manage to make a pre-week one trade where I switched horses from Kolb to Brady - dodged a bullet there!)...

There is no point to have all of those guys on your team, make some trades and strengthen your lineup in some places. That being said I would go with Foster and Gore. Oaklands pass D is good but their run D is garbage, so expect a lot from him

Oh, I totally agree. I've sent suggestions to everyone with a WR I'd like to pick up, and they could all use RB improvement... but nothin' - it's terribly frustrating.

And I guess it's Gore that I'm more worried about...

Thanks for the help.

I would start

D. McFadden @ HOU

As mentioned, he is on a tear. The offense trusts him and they feed him the rock. Averaging over 24 carries a game, even with the return of M. Bush. And I like his matchup against HOU more than his counter parts, A. Foster. Houston isn't as committed to the running game.

F. Gore @ ATL

He is a must start. The 49er offense goes through him both on the ground and air.

First 2 for sure. Both are studs IMO.

Although McFadden against Houston could also be a good option.

Foster for sure, Oakland's run d is terrible. Id then go with Gore, he's among the league leaders in targets, so he's gonna get you points on the ground and in the air.

Also, you absolutely don't need all those backs, if you cant move McFadden, and you're worried about Gore.. try moving Gore, you have plenty of stud backs. McFadden and S. Jax, are IMO, your best trade bait, I cant imagine there arent some really RB poor teams that would make some moves for one of those guys. I'd keep a hold of Gore, and Foster for sure.

Foster and Gore for sure.

Foster can tear up Oakland and Gore will get fed the rock a ton.

Awesome, thanks for the replies... seems like Foster and Gore is what I'll go with. I have to be right one of these weeks, huh?
