Drop McNabb for Sanchez? WHIR

Postby Mitch Cumstein » Wed Sep 29, 2010 8:03 pm

I've got Romo on a bye and need a qb for the week. I've already got McNabb but was thinking of dropping him and picking up Sanchez. Sanchez has the better matchup but I'm also intrigued by the potential for a big game from McNabb in his return to Philly. What do you think?

I'd caution you not to. If you are sure that you want to start the Sanchise against Buffalo, I'd look elsewhere on your team for dead weight worth dropping for the Jet pigskin thrower. Carrying three QBs can be scary, but you could easily drop the Sanchise after this week (or McNabb if he gets injuried, which is a likelyhood at any time behind his often porous O-Line.

I'd think that McNabb would get snatched up really quick off waivers, depending on your league size, and you wouldn't like to lose to him later in the year on another team.

He makes many good points. I just picked up Sanchez, but I certainly didn't have anyone as talented as McNabb competing for his spot...I would stick with McNabb for this game and on...unless you do have dead weight out there that you would do no harm to your team getting rid of-then I would pick up Sanchez and start him this week and then wave goodbye pretty quickly after that...

Hold on to McNabb, he's a good qb on a pretty good team and I feel that sanchez is being very overated. Sanchez, from what I've seen, has gotten lucky with pentalties and poor defensive plays
