One of the teams in our league put Jamaal Charles and Payton Hillis on the trading block. He wants WRs.
Currently he has Fitzgerald and Crabtree in his WR #1 and WR#2 spots. Fitz has simply been "okay" and Crabtree has been a bust so far.
I wanna make a run at Jamaal Charles and am looking for opinions as to how you'd set this up.
Here's my team:
Here's my team: standard scoring QB x1, RB x2, WR x2, RB/WR x1, TE x1, K x1, DEF x1 QB - Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger RB - Arian Foster, Ahmad Bradshaw, Knowshon Moreno (hamstring), Willis McGahee WR - Andre Johnson, Mike Wallace, Mike Williams (Sea), Nate Washington, Sidney Rice TE - Jermichael Finley, Jermaine Gresham K - Neil Rackers DEF - Chicago, Miami
There's another team in the league that has both Roddy White and Reggie Wayne. While the odds of him accepting this are unlikely, I intend to offer AJ and Mike Wallace for the two of them. You never know how far a name will carry you. He may be star struck by Andre Johnson and accept it. Long shot but man that would be dope for me.
I was thinking about offering Sidney Rice and Nate Washington for Jamaal Charles. I know Favre is counting down the days until Rice gets back and I just have a feeling he's going to pick up right where he left off, but that's a gamble knowing that he's coming off hip surgery.
First, as for the Roddy and Wayne trade, you can see, but yeah he'd probably have to be namestruck by andre.
Second, unless he's crazy, I dont see why hed do Rice and Nate for Charles. Charles would be a potential top 5 back if T jones ever goes down. Rice may not even be full strength until way late in the season, and even then he wont be back till week 8. And Nate is just a throw-in to be honest. Being a Titans fan, its pretty well known Kenny Britt will be the #1 soon if he already isnt, and the Titans are a run first and run second team anyway. So I honestly dont see that working.
But looking at your roster im guessing this is at least a 12 team league? The only possiblities I see working are maybe packaging Bradshaw and Wallace for Charles and a better WR. But even then I really like wallace once Ben R comes back. Honestly I just think its going to be hard unless ur willing to part with some of ur big guys(Foster, Andre, Rodgers) for in a package deal because you dont have really any depth. You really just need Moreno to get back and play well I think>

Whats this guys team look like? The Charles guy?
Thanks for the feedback.
His starting WRs are Fitz and Crabtree.
For his RBs... he has MJD, McFadden, Hillis, Charles, and Donald Brown. I think he's got so much depth there and he's desperate for some better WRs that he might just consider it.
You are correct that this is a 12 team league. I was trying to figure out if I was nuts being hesitant to let Sidney go. The other thing is that if I'm to make the attempt for Wayne/White I might have to package Rice in there as well. The more and more I think about it though... if I make this offer and he takes it, I'm making out pretty good.
oh... and the only reason I added Washington was for someone to fill some weeks while we waits for Rice's return. There isn't crap on the WW and IMO he's a better option than Crabtree.
Thanks for the help. As a Charles owner I can tell you I have been actively shopping him but at his current value, not as a buy low since that shouldn't be the case. He's putting up some decent number just is so frustrating to own. Personally I wouldn't take the first deal for Charles. Depending on my situation I would probably do something along the lines of Moreno and Wallace for Charles. Not saying that is the move you should make since it would make you thin at WR but it would be something along those lines. Maybe try Moreno and Washington? Also for the AJ/Wallace trade he probably wouldn't do that. Depending on your faith in Big Ben and the other team's situation you can look to do a trade including one of your QBs
