Here's what I have at runningback: Cedric Benson Ronnie Brown Ricky Williams Peyton Hillis Shonn Greene
Standard Scoring - No PPR
This is what I'm thinking, Michael Bush lost his job to injury and as they work him in, if he out performs McFadden, he could get the number one job back. I also know the Raiders will use him as a goal line back, so he could also be valuable like Hillis was for me in the first two weeks.
Jerome Harrison was suppose to be the guy but has been out played by Hillis. Should I pick him up instead in case Hillis fades? And if he does get the #1spot again, will Hillis continue to siphon away those high yield goal line carries?
Shonn Greene was suppose to be the man, but is getting hammered by a renewed Tomilson. I like his potential, but I'm not in a keeper league, so it really comes down to whether or not he can out produce LT this year.
Rank 'em please, and I'd appreciate an explanation for your rankings. Thanks!
(Leave link and I'll give you my opinion on anything you got going on.)
Is Lt available? I live near their training camp and actually spoke with rex ryan at an alumni dinner he explained that LT is going to get alot of catches out of the backfield and most of the goal lines greene looks sluggish fumbles i like bush alot annd think he will reclaim value hillis had a great game but a time share in cleveland is not someting im excited about
Green is at the top of this, no question. LT isn't going to perform all year. It's only a matter of weeks until he gets himself another high ankle sprain.
Harrison is number 2, but by a wide margin. There is no guarantee he ever starts again, plus he is injured. He has a better chance of taking the job back than Bush does, though. And you're right, even if he does get the "#1" job back, Hillis will still steal goalline carries.
Bush is #3 because he's behind McFadden, the only legit competition out of the 3 (out of him, old LT, and Harrison/Hillis). The Raiders would love to start McFadden over Bush. He is also guaranteed to get hurt, though, leading to the 2nd problem with Bush: the Raiders suck. Even if Bush is the starter, you can't really expect him to produce a lot of points.
I wouldn't drop any of the RBs you have for Bush or Harrison at the moment.
I wouldn't count on LT performing all year, he may get hurt or burned out and then you have a very valuable piece in the late season where it really matters.
I have this strange obsession with Harrison and always want him on my team, but I wouldn't pick him up now as it looks like he is not starting on Sunday. If HIllis has another good game Harrison may not get him job back.
Bush does nothing for me. He cannot stay healthy, he plays for the Raiders and doesn't catch the ball. I know his upside is huge but I will let someone else take that gamble as I think the risk is much higher than the potential reward.
I also would not drop any of the RB's you have. My ranking would also be Green, Harrison and Bush.
LT has a strong likelhood of getting hurt. I think Green just needs to get the monkey off his back and not have the worry of losing his starting job to a future HOFer to perform again.
Hillis is a workhorse and I don't see him losing out on this one, especially where Harrison underperformed.
As long as McFadden is dominating, Bush stands no chance.
