Starters for Week 4: QB Eli Manning (vs CHI) RB L. Tomlinson (at BUF) WR Randy Moss (at MIA) WR Johnny Knox (at NYG) Flex (RB/WR) Shonn Greene (at BUF) TE JerMichael Finley (vs DET) K Steven Gostkowski (at MIA) D/ST Bengals (at CLE)
Bench: RB Jamaal Charles (Bye) RB Matt Forte (at NYG) RB MarShawn Lynch (vs NYJ) WR Andre Johnson (at OAK) WR Legedu Naanee (vs ARZ) WR Darrius Heyward-Bey (vs HOU) D/ST Bears (at NYG)
I currently have a couple of high risk guys listed in my starting lineup this week. I'm assuming Andre Johnson isn't going to play. Even if he does, he's had limited success against Nmamdi. I realize it's nuts to have him on the bench, but Knox is playing well and seems to be on the cusp of having a breakout game. If AJ does play, should I go with him or Knox? Or, do you see another move I can make?
I also have Shonn Greene going over Forte in the flex. If the Jets run the ball against Buffalo like NE did, I think both backs (LT & Greene) will post solid numbers. Also, watching Forte run the ball the past couple of weeks has been unimpressive.
I'm still continuously searching for players that will improve my roster. I picked up Heyward-Bey and Lynch off waivers this week. If Lynch isn't traded by the deadline, I'll drop him. I realize Heyward-Bey has been a complete bust to this point, but he's 17th in the NFL in targets. If those targets turn into production, he has a chance to have the occasional solid game. Regardless, there are still some players on the wire that interest me. They are:
Waiver Wire: Lee Evans Kevin Walter Bernard Scott Chad Henne Josh Cribbs Devin Hester James Jones Mohamed Massaquoi Blair White Brandon Pettigrew Tony Scheffler
Obviously, I have a claim in on Walter. I'm 8th in the order so I doubt I get him. Is there another player (besides Walter) I should target? If so, who do I drop?
If you think I should start preparing for next season, don't hesitate to tell me. If I have a shot to turn things around, I'd sincerely appreciate any advise.
QB: Eli Manning, Favre & Kitna RB: Charles, Tomlinson, Forte & Greene WR: Andre Johnson, Randy Moss, Floyd & Knox TE: Daniels K: Longwell D/ST: Seattle & Chicago 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D/ST (Non-PPR 12 Team)
If it is a PPR league, I would definitely sub Forte in for Greene. It's closer in a non-PPR league, but I think I'd still go Forte over Greene, just so I don't have all my eggs in one basket, i.e. Jets pass to Keller all day and can't/don't run the ball at all. As far as Andre is concerned, I find it very difficult to sit anyone of his talent unless he is definitely out. If he plays and blows up to the tune of 10 catches for 140 yards and a score, will you be able to live with yourself for sitting him? I know the smarter move is to go with Knox, so if you feel comfortable with it, go with him, but Andre is my man crush lol.

No, its a standard non-ppr league. I agree with the AJ advise. If he's playing, there's no way he won't be in my lineup. As far as Forte is concerned, you have an excellent point about going with LT and Greene. The possibility of Sanchez feeding Keller all day didn't cross my mind. I appreciate you bringing it to my attention.
