McNabb/McCoy/Knox for Henne/Moreno/Marshall

Postby Hoosierdad » Fri Oct 01, 2010 6:41 pm

2QB League. A team has Moreno and Williams as his RBs. His back-ups are horrible, Fred Taylor and Buckhalter. He's been asking about trades, I offered him McCoy for Marshall but he said no because his WRs are weak after Marshall, Colston, and Steve Smith. His next best is Steve Breaston. Anyway, I offered him McCoy/Knox for Moreno/Marshall. He came back with the QBs.

I'm tempted to take it. Here's why:

QBs: I give some. But I think Henne is looking better each game. I have to admit, the fact that McNabb couldn't do better against the Rams is concerning. Plus, other than Moss and Cooley, he's got no weapons.

WRs: Big upgrade. I think Marshall will be top 10 this year. We get .5 PPR and I'm drooling over having Marshall and White.

RBs: I lose. but I'm hoping Mathews can put up decent RB2 numbers or Moreno can when he gets healthy.

Am I giving up too much?

I'd do it without the QB's. Henne would be worth stashing in a 1QB leauge or if you had a better option than someone who is likely to lose his job an undrafted rookie during this season (Hey, its Max Hall's birthday today- I found out while wiki'ng his draft posistion.)

Both RB's in the trade are on pass first teams and as much as I love me some Knox, Marshall would be a great add.

Check your waivers/ FAB. There could be an interesting pickup that you could replace Anderson with. If you did this trade with Henne in it, you could play matchups week in and out with your QB2.

I think I would do it. The upgrade at WR outweighs what might be a loss at RB and I personally think Henne is an upgrade over Mcnabb for the season.

I don't love it, but I like it okay if you can cover Moreno while he's out. Henne looks better each week, and I'm still not ready to trust McNabb long term. Marshall is a stud. I like Knox, but Marshall is a lot there. I think of McCoy and Moreno about the same provided you aren't worried about Moreno being out beyond this week.

I plan on playing Foster/Mathews until Moreno gets back. Then using either Mathews or Moreno depending on match-ups.

i like it for 2 reasons.
1) you still have Foster and Mathews so can spare Mccoy,
2) the .5 ppr makes the WR more valuable and it woudl give you a big boost there.
i think the QBs are pretty much a push.
thanks for the help on mine.

Do it! Moreno and Marshall are way more valuable than McCoy/Knox. I believe McCoy is going to start losing carries to Mike Bell soon. Moreno is a bit of a health risk, but I still like this trade for you.

Thanks for helping with my Vick/Wallace for Benson/Orton.

By th way, there's an UPDATE on that: He's now offering S-Jax/Orton for Vick/Wallace. PPR League. I have Rodgers. Would you do it?

I'd do it, cus you have foster/matthews till moreno comes back...and you be getting a upgrade at both rb and wr, while not losing much at qb, imo...go for it, good luck.

Thanks for the help with mine.

I would def. do it. I am not a believer in McNabb in washington, i don't think that line will keep him healthy for 16 games. Knox isn't much, just a throw in. McCoy is the only player of solid value, IMO, that your giving up but your getting a top 5-10 Wr, a potential top 15 RB, and a sleeper QB. tough to start henne every wk since its a 2 QB league but I would do this because Marshall improves your WR enormously and your RB are still okay after losing Mccoy.
