14-team flex play: Maroney or Bess

Postby Spokes » Sat Oct 02, 2010 9:34 pm

Hey, guys. I need some straightening out.

I am in a 14-team, non-PPR league with a couple of options to weigh for my flex spot this weekend.
It is currently occupied by Laurence Maroney, but I have been thinking about going with Davone Bess. Some of the best games in his career have come against the Patriots and while his potential is limited as an over-the-middle receiver, he seems like a constant target who could beat that defense like a drum.
Or do I go with Maroney? He's not a very talented RB and Tennessee's run defense is adequate. But he's probably going to touch the ball 12-15 times and one short TD run could neutralize everything Bess gives me.
Do I go with the sluggish starting RB with the bad matchup in hopes that he gets a short score or do I go with the possession WR with a great matchup, but little TD possibility? By the way, I am already deploying Brandon Marshall.

Thanks for reading my question!! Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

when in doubt, go with the matchup and your gut which sounds like Bess. I would agree.

Help with mine?
