The Aromashodu trap

Recently aquired the Bears WR trio in a dynasty league needing WR depth. Problem is that week to week, hard to predict who will be big WR stat-wise. The real issue, though, is what to think of Aromashodu. Like similar players, he's a guy that's too talented to drop in a dynasty in my opinion, but also a guy who has basically fallen off the fantasy earth lately.

So, where will things go in Chicago? Is Aromashodu a fantasy trap player ... a guy, in my opinion, like David Boston was, immensely talented and undroppable for quite some time due to breakout potential, but one that makes us burn a roster spot, waiting for great things that never seem to transpire?

I'm a Johnny Knox believer. IMO he's the clear #1 there. IMO Aromashodu stays on the bench. As you know Martz said he doesn't fit in the offense:

Martz: I don’t know if we need to justify any of those things to anybody. I would just say this and we’ll let this thing go: Devin is a bit of a specialist in that he doesn’t play the slot, which we asked him to do in the opener. He’s not comfortable in there. He’s not familiar with it. All four of our other receivers do play the slot and the outside. Devin just plays the outside. So his opportunities to play are reduced dramatically because of his limited knowledge of what we do at that position. He’s not a slot or a nickel guy. He’s outside. It has nothing to do with Devin’s performance.

Pretty damning if you ask me...He said it has nothing to do with his "performance" (AKA talent). He can't play the slot, they don't think he can play the slot, so they can't use him. Martz doesn't want to call special packages just so he can fit Aromashodu in.

He has the talent. Not sure if the last few weeks was just some real tough love or they just don't like him. We will see week 5. I dropped him and it might have been a bad idea.
