Kuhn or Green-Ellis in my flex spot?

Postby directImpact » Sun Oct 03, 2010 1:00 am

Kuhn at Detroit
Green-Ellis at Miami

Can't seem to decide. I think I'm leaning a little towards Kuhn but not sure why. Anybody have any insight? Thanks in advance!

In another thread, I stated that once it was announced that Fred Taylor was out, I swapped Kuhn for Green-Ellis.

what i didn't say is that I then reversed course. I may do so again. My thinking right now, though, is that GB is going to get way out ahead of DET and use Kuhn to milk the clock. I don't think Brandon Jackson will do well enough to move the chains. Meanwhile, I expect the MIA-NE tilt to be close. Brady will throw it a lot. Yeah, BJGE may run in a 1 yard TD but I don't think he'll be milking clock. The presence of Sammy Morris muddles things, too. You never know what Belichek is going to do. If BJGE starts and ends up with 5 carries for 7 yards, he'll swap Morris in without blinking an eye. I don't think Kuhn is in a similar situation.

that said, I'm curious to hear other people's thoughts.

BJE, you know he's starting and will get carries, not sure about Kuhn who seems to be in a virtual timeshare.

Im with this as well. I think you are over thinking it when you are picking a guy that COULD get in late IF the team is up by a lot. You cant really go by that at all. You have to pick the guys that are guaranteed touches and thats BJGE. Sure Brady and the Pats are going to pass alot, but they run a little bit too. I would just rather start the clear cut starter is all. Good luck!!

Green-Ellis. I think a lot of us contemplating Kuhn and his viability going forward would like to see GB in action for another week before hitching our wagons to their running game and fullback everyone is all horny about suddenly.
