I was offered his Mendenhall for my McFadden straight up...Should I jump on it?

That is a no-brainer for you.
Of course now you may have a moral conflict: does the mendenhall owner know McFadden is injured? You wouldn't be able to tell by looking at the box score, but McFadden left the game with a hamstring issue that, IIRC, kept him out of the preseason as well.
With Michael Bush back, McFadden was going to lose some goal line touches anyway. (Bush got a TD yesterday in just such a situation.) So even if McFadden's injury isn't an issue, his production will drop some. Cable knows there is no way McFadden can hold up for a full season continuing to get the number of carries he got the first 3 weeks.
