Should I pick up Hillis?

Postby MarinersFan21 » Sun Oct 03, 2010 10:39 pm

Peyton Hillis has been available since day 1 in my 8 team league. I don't think anybody has even mentioned him or considered adding him. Should I try to pick him up off of waivers this week? I'm thinking I should drop Greene for him, since I already have LT, and he has now become the primary back. Is Greene worth keeping? Will Hillis continue to dominate?

Roster:
QB Aaron Rodgers
RB Jahvid Best
RB LaDainian Tomlinson
RB/WR Beanie Wells
WR Larry Fitzgerald
WR Malcom Floyd
TE Jermichael Finley
DP Patrick Willis
DP Bernard Pollard
D/ST Jets D/ST
K Mike Nugent
BE Santonio Holmes
BE Shonn Greene
BE Mike Williams

Two monster weeks in a row? Definitely pick him up. It's just a question of who you drop for him. I'd say Greene or M Williams.
QB - A Rodgers, E Manning
RB - A Foster, S Jackson, R Mendenhall, T Jones, R Bush
WR - G Jennings, L Fitz, S Smith (Car), P Harvin, V Jackson
TE - A Hernandez, J Tamme

Yeah those were the two I have been looking at. With Holmes coming back ill be using him, so Williams wont get many starts for me. He has done well so far, I added him hearing about his sleeper status. With Greene, if he truly becomes the backup, that's no use for me. I'm not very interested in a backup for fantasy. But if I drop Williams for Hillis then I'll feel like I will have too many backs to deal with..Best, Hillis, Tomlinson, and Wells? I'm not sure if I can manage that..

Actually if I added Hillis and dropped Williams, that would give me 5 RB and only 3 (one flex) available slots. Hillis, Best, Tomlinson, Wells, and Grenne. Idk about that..

Idk about droppin Greene. LT is old and come 2nd half of the year you might see Greene explode...remember our playoff run last year? Greene was a stud...LT has the auto start...for now

Yeah I feel like I should hang onto Greene. Do you think Williams for Hillis is a good move? The buccaneers dont exactly have the best offense for Williams to always get consistant good reception numbers and fantasy points. I just wont know what to do with 5 RB if I go that route.
