Staring 0-4 in the face - Jennings for Hillis or Forte? WHIR

Postby bounce » Mon Oct 04, 2010 11:11 am

Unless Moss and the Pats D combine for 35, I'll be 0-4 this week - so I'm needing to make a trade. My roster is:

start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 R/W/T

Q - Cutler
R - S. Jax, Greene, Charles, T. Jones, Forsett
W - Moss, Jennings, Lloyd, Royal
T - Cooley, Miller

A guy in my league has Chris Johnson, Hillis, Forte, Portis, and Darby. His WRs are Colston, Smith (Car), and Cotchery. With Smith going down, and Colston underachieving, I may be able to work a trade with him. I think Jennings is my best chip here, because I don't want to deal Moss. Would a Jennings for Hillis or Jennings/Greene (or someone else) for Hillis/Colston be a worthwhile trade to attempt? Any chance of either of those being accepted?

One other team that could be a trade partner (possibly needing a WR). Any thoughts of a trade to put together to him?

Q - Manning, Flacco
R - Benson, Brown, Best, B. Jackson, Slaton
W - Floyd, Maclin, Holmes, Ward

Don't take Forte. The Bears OL looked terrible last night and Forte is not going to get a lot of rush yards this year. Even in his good games this season, a lot of his yards came on passes. Teams will adjust for this wrinkle, imo.

I'd consider a Jennings/another RB for Hillis and Colston. He might be willing to sell low on Colston. I have Colston and am not giving up on him. He is due for a big game, and New Orleans isn't going to stop passing.

If he won't do that (b/c he'd be giving up a WR to get one), maybe try to give him Royal for Hillis. Royal has had a couple big games, but seems like he's going to have some mediocre ones as well, with how the Broncos spread the ball around.

I think Colston is attainable... Hillis will be a tough steal based on his recent sucess...

I would try to get benson or best. I think benson is eventually going to produce and he's going to get 20+ touches i would see if i could steal him for lloyd and forsett or tjones. If you wanna try to get best it would probably cost you jennings but see if you can buy low on benson first.

Benson is buy low but I'd like Best the best. You might need to give up Jennings but I'd do Jennings + RB for Best + WR or some sort so you upgrade and still get depth.

Be careful with Best. Kevin Smith looked pretty good in his first game back considering he's coming off an ACL injury. Smith won't retake the starting job, but he could still take a few of Best's carries.

Benson runs like junk, but the Bengals seem content to continue to feeding him the ball. For whatever reason, they don't seem to give Scott the chance to earn more carries. In that regard, Benson looks less likely to have reps taken from him than Best does. Imo.

thanks for the help on my thread. If your gonna trade Jennings then def target best or benson. Im not really a benson fan either but he does get the bulk of the carries. Do best and maybe maclin or even holmes for jennings and one of your backs.

Thanks again
