White for AJ or Austin....WHIR

Postby Hoosierdad » Mon Oct 04, 2010 5:50 pm

My team is in my sig. We're an Atlanta based league so people love them some Roddy White. Of course, it helps he's a stud who gets his catches no matter what. I have McCoy. There's a rumor that the Eagles are possibly trading for Lynch. So, a guy who has AJ and Austin (bad trades by idiots to him) has been bugging me today to trade for Lynch. Part of me says, no, I'll just take my chances. Because if they do trade for Lynch, McCoy's value drops anyway. But he keeps bringing up AJ and Austin. I think he's bluffing, so I thought I would call his bluff and offer him

White/Felix Jones for AJ/Lynch or Austin/Lynch.

The only reason why he would do this is it's a .5 PPR league and White leads the league in targets. Audit put up 3 points the last game he played and maybe I can get AJ given his ankle situation.

Would I be crazy for doing either of these?

From the sound of it I'm not sure he's serious about it either. It is a real tough call now though without knowing how effective McCoy can be with a broken rib. I think it boils down to how serious the Eagles are about trading for Lynch.

My gut tells me to wait a day or two to see how serious the Eagles are.

I'd rather have White/Jones than either of those other options. If AJ were healthy, I might take the AJ/Lynch combo because AJ alone can win you games once in a while -- but with the ankle injury, I'd just stick with White.

Yeah I'd wait there's no need to panic, plus we don't know how long McCoy will be out if at all.

Thanks for the help with mine

Thanks for help with mine.

My first piece of advice for you is to definitely wait a couple of days to see what the deal is with McCoy (and Vick for that matter). As you know, the QB situation in Philly is in shambles. That being said, a good-to-go McCoy will be the biggest offensive weapon on the Eagles, especially if Vick's out long term and Kolb is the QB. All of these questions will hopefully be answered in the next couple of days.

I would stay put. While I do think AJ will be okay, and I like him a LITTLE better than White, I think you should stick where you are right now. Goodluck
