Steve Smith (NY) for Orton?

Postby bisklimpkit » Tue Oct 05, 2010 12:01 pm

My current QBs are Sanchez and Favre. I have been offered Orton for Steve Smith (NYG). My other receivers are Reggie Wayne, Hines Ward, Mark Clayton, and Louis Murphy.
Standard scoring league (QB = 1pt per 50 yards passing, 1pt per 10 yards rushing, 6 pts per passing/rushing td) (WR = 1pt per 10 yards receiving, 6pts per TD)

Thoughts?

i think that is a good trade.. smith and eli have fallen out of love.. nicks is the new number one target and manningham is creeping up to the top.. denver has no run game and they dont care.. orton has plenty of options to throw to.. i think yuou have enough wr depth to do it.

Steve Smith is the possession guy in NY and even 2 weeks ago had the most receptions. He will not get the 35yd TD pass but he still has good hands and catches balls in traffic. In any given week the Giants will have Hicks, Manningham, or Smith be the #1 Wideout. In my opinion smith still gets the 1st downs and constant possession pass while the others get the deep threats.

Shoot, I would give up Favre before I give up Orton and hold on to Smith. ;-D
