Brandon Lloyd/DeAngelo Williams/and TE's

Postby killatb212 » Tue Oct 05, 2010 12:41 pm

So i thought that going into week 1 after my draft my team was going to win every single game, but with extremely poor play by some big name stars I am left in a pickle and need some advice.

First off what are thoughts on the Broncos WR Brandon Lloyd? He has racked up 450 yds receiving, and a touchdown; and i just picked him up off of waivers but have trouble deciding where i want to place him.
My three starting wide recievers are Greg Jennings/Anquan Boldin/Braylon Edwards. I would place him in my slot but I usually save that space for my second tight end Visanthe Shiancoe, but with the piss poor play of Tony Gonzalez I have no idea what TE to start and who to put in my slot.

For running backs I have DeAngelo Williams, Ahmad Bradshaw, Darren McFadden, and I just resigned LT off waivers.

DeAngelo is playing the worst football of his career, McFadden is starting to cool off after a hot start, and LT is looking like the stud he once was. Bradshaw has been my only consistent running back. So if anyone has thoughts on which two i should start that would be great.

First off, Lloyd looks like he may emerge as the #1 WR for the Broncos, but thats almost like saying #1 for the Saints with how much they distribute the ball around. The only one I might think about benching for Lloyd would be Braylon Edwards. Jennings is in a high powered offense and he gets a lot of targets, last week he should have had 2-3 TD's and thats just from what I saw when I was flipping around. Boldin looks like a bonafied WR and is clearly the #1 in Baltimore. Baltimore has had a ROUGH first 4 weeks, and have played some great D's, yet Boldin still has looked pretty good. Braylon has Santonio Holmes coming back and if that wasnt enough, is still behind Keller in targets, yards, catches, and TD's..

You may want to play Gonzo this week, they're playing Cleveland. Shaincoe and Lloyd both have tough matchups with the Jets and Ravens respectivly. I may wait a week with Lloyd, but you might not have an option and have to play him in place of Shaincoe.

DeAngelo isnt playing bad, its the Panthers as a whole are playing bad. With Claussen at QB, teams are stacking the box and making Claussen beat them, which he cant. DeAngelo will come around. McFadden didnt cool down, he got hurt. He had something like 12 carries before he tweaked his hamstring. LT is good for right now, but who knows how long that will last. Sure the Jets O line is good, but its not good enough to account for a almost 3 yard/carry bump from last year. As for this week, I'd probably start Bradshaw if he's healthy, and LT. If not then you're pretty much up a creek, McFadden might not play, and DeAngelo is going up against a stingy Chicago D.
