I see a little more upside w/ Maclin this season...with Vick throwing to him that is.

Knowing Vick will be back in a couple weeks is comforting enough to not pull the trigger and keep Maclin. 85 sees too much double coverage and has a Pop Warner QB throwing to him.

Enjoy Maclin's breakout year.

Good Luck in Week 5

Let's be honest, Maclin "broke-out" ONLY AFTER after VICK returned as a starting QB, and his rib-cartilage injury is no quick-fix. I do NOT trust K.Kolb at ALL this year, and believe that Reid and the PHI brass made a huge mistake in shipping McNabb off to my div. rival Skins, where he has lead us to a 2-0 start in the NFC East so far... meanwhile, Ocho, except for last week where T.O. just couldn't be covered and would not be denied, has been solid so far and will only improve as more opposing secondarys become pre-occupied with Owens, who still apparently "has it"... With McCoy's cracked ribs in the running game (M.Bell now totes the rock for PHI) and the loss of FB Leonard Weaver to a broken leg earlier in the year, the Eagles will have issues both pass-blocking for Kolb and on offense in general, so I would INDEED TRADE for 85 and realize that TO won't have another game like that all season -- to wit, C.Palmer is healthy and looking waaay better than Kolb right now. Vick isn't back and healthy and throwing for 250yds+ per game just yet, and more importantly, throwing TDs! I can see a true QB controversy brewing in Philly, and that's a negative for Eagles WRs in general.

I would make this trade NOW, bc I expect Maclin's numbers to more or less "regress" back to the mean, for reasons I just listed; hell, he may only score 4 more TDs the rest of the year, meanwhile I expect Ocho to ADVANCE to his 1100+yd/10TD type of season we all know he has in him, esp. w/ T.O. on the other side creating space/taking away double-teams on Ocho too... GL!

That's very funny, boynamed sue... but if you simply read my last paragraph, where I said I would "make this TRADE NOW" then my take on it is crystal clear.... I hope you were just giving me a hard time bc I have this awful habit of being thorough and explaining my opinions heh heh heh... wanna help me with my OWN trade propositions sue?

here's the link, if you dare...

Who offered the trade?

I concur will Navyseal, he stole the words from my mouth. I was lucky enough to trade Maclin for Gates before Vick got hurt and I'm not looking back now as long as Kolb is taking snaps. Sure Jackson and Maclin will get their receptions and Kolb will settle down and start connecting, but I don't anticipate the threat of the 'big play' being there for the Eagles as long as McCoy and Vick are out of the game. Defenses will adjust accordingly and limit the space Eagle WRs have. Don't get me wrong, I think Jackson and Maclin have enough talent to take a routine play and turn into something big, but so does 85 and I think that TO having a big week will remind teams for the next couple weeks of the two-headed threat. There's always an element of risk involved but in this case, there are a few more if's involved with Maclin putting up the big numbers consistently.

Ya I would make this trade. Maclin will be very bad until Vick gets back, I am skeptical when that really will be. I would make this before Maclin has a bad game. My link is above my sig

No, you were, as you said, crystal clear. Just busting chops a little :b

We don't agree on what to do w/ Tittsburg's trade but that's perfectly alright...sorry Tittsburg!
I'm sure you'll use your head and make the right decision...(85's not gonna break 1,000 yds and Maclin may not either but he'll score more TDs)...right decision
