I would hold onto Tate as he will be the deep threat for NE now that Moss is traded to Minny.

im leaning the other way,i dont know why, but i am. is it wrong to think that roy will improve this year? to me this is a very picky trade, potential vs someone who played well.

The pats sling the ball around like there's no tomorrow. I'd go with Tate. I can't see Belicheck changing the whole "air it out" style because they lost Moss.

Keep Tate.

WHY?

Because speed KILLS. And tate has it in spades, judging by his 2 KO return for TDs in just 4 weeks. If BB didn't believe that B.Tate could eventually replace a disgruntled R.Moss, who let's face it gang, 1)takes plays off, 2)blocks downfield only when the mood strikes him, and 3)just isn't racking up the YARDS he normally does...

RoyWill had his best game of the season in wk3, and that's not just my opinion, it's a fact. Rookie WR Dez Bryant will be back before you know it, and then RoyWill's production will again suffer except possibly in the red-zone... if you want "upside", then keep Tate. But if you do not trust Belichick and Brady's opinions regarding B.Tate's potential, then trade him for what will ultimately amount to Dallas' WR3, Williams... GL!

Tate. There's some real boom potential there.

thx Vincent. I realize my reasoning was a bit wordy, but that's just how I analize/organize my responses, been here in the cafe since '03, helping and learning from folks more wise than I... You gotta admit, Tate is an interesting "unknown" in New England's, Tom Brady-led passing attack, but his ceiling feels like it just got a bit higher bc he is likely going to get the opportunity to show BB and co just what he can "do"... trust me, losing a premier deep threat like Moss hurts the Pats --- a LOT. Certainly more than they are willing to admit, but IF Tate serves as a decent replacement in the deep-passing game, BB will once again solidify his "genius" perception around the NFL, wouldn't you agree... Tate is on my own league's ww --- still --- and he is who I am targeting on friday with my own ww transaction, since I may be trading my WR3 E.Royal for G.Olsen in a deal w/ a fellow owner... take a peek at my own trade options? Again:

thx and good luck Vinny!

im concerned about vincent jackson joining the pats in regards to tate's production. i know a vjack trade is not even a rumor at this point, but still. the funny thing is, i still got v jack on my roster. either way it looks like im getting the Pat's #1 receiver.

Well, I am yet to hear of any rumors that would send VJax to the Pats, but that WOULD make a LOT of sense imo, perhaps you should apply for an assistant GM position lol... but let's be clear, the speedy and sure-handed Wes Welker and rookie sensation TE A.Hernandez will remain Brady's favorite targets or "hot-routes" for the time being or until a deal sends VJax to the Pats... but Tate's SPEED alone suggest that he won't need 10+ targets per game or even more than 5-6 catches to have a significant IMPACT on their offense, and in turn, their season, which looks a little in doubt now; mainly bc of their substandard D, where aside from their D/ST EXPLOSION against div. rival Miami, have looked "seive-like" in my eyes... So, I CAN still see Welker getting his 10-12 targets/catches per game as a chain-moving element for Brady's offense, and let's not forget about Welker "clone" J.Edelman either (who sits on my bench -- for now heh heh) but I would expect BB utilizing this bye week to try and put Brady and Tate on the same page timing-wise, in an effort to incorporate Tate into a Moss-like role ASAP... GL, see you around the Cafe!
