Trade ADDAI for CLAYTON?? WHIR!!!

Postby jblood5150 » Thu Oct 07, 2010 3:54 pm

14 Team non-ppr league

My team

Cutler, Henne, (Hill this week only)
Turner, Torain, Addai, Greene
Floyd, Smith (car), Garcon, Bowe, Williams (TB)
Eagles D
Prater

With smith's injury troubles and QB challenges I feel that I need a little help at WR.. Garcon hasnt paid off either...

I know that I would be a little thin at RB.. Blount,(waivers) and Starks (FA) are out there...

Or should I keep Addai and drop Garcon for Aaron Hernandez instead?

WHIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-) :-)

I agree, you could use some help there and you aren't going to get it with Garcon and I personally don't really like TB receivers so far. Clayton does get a crazy amount of targets, but what is frustrating me is receptions. Not sure if it is a timing problem that he and Bradford will get ironed out in the next couple of weeks or not. I'm hoping so b/c I use him as a number 2 WR after trading Maclin for Gates. Clayton has some good matchups coming up, and I don't think that Addai is the goal line go to man. I'd say that if you do the trade, how if affects your team will depend on what you do next. You'll need to turn a couple of those other receivers into a serviceable RB moving forward.

The trade is pretty even I guess, although I like Addai better.... especially with D. Brown's injuries. However, if Brown gets back to health, I think the Colts will give him a lot of opportunities to see what they have, as Addai is in a contract year and decisions for the future need to be made.

Who is your current TE? I REALLY REALLY like Hernandez going forward... he's been pretty good so far, and I think we've only seen him scratch the surface of what he could do this year.

I am not carrying a TE at this point as our flex position is TE/WR... so I could grab him if I wanted to....

but who would I drop, Garcon?

Or I could wait to try to snag him off waivers next week, dont think that people would notice since NE is on bye this week...
I would drop Hill to get him at that point.....

Do the trade!!!

you have nothing really to lose here they will get roughly the same points and you get those points from the WR position instead of a rb position. then fill the back position with Greene and your set.

Makes sense to me.

I don't like the deal. Can you not pick up Britt who will be starting this week and possibly next?
Also, Addai has no Brown this week to content with again (I assume). The other thing is, the word has it that Collie may not suit up this week so that means Garcon starts.

Don't like this deal just to pick up Clayton. I love Bradford and what the Rams are doing but I wouldnt do this. A better deal and a fairer trade is Colston for Addai for example. Get yourself more of a proven WR.

PLEASE HELP!
