Chris Johnson for Reggie Wayne? (WHIR)

Postby Acadia » Thu Oct 07, 2010 7:27 pm

A guy is offering me his C Johnson for my Reggie Wayne.
Wayne has a good matchup this week with Collie possibly out, I am thinking.
But that's besides the point...is this a good long term move for me?
I don't have a lot of WR depth as you can see. I could pick up Britt.

QB: Shaub
WR: Wayne
WR: Marshall (bye)
RB: Steven Jackson
RB: J Addai
TE: Z Miller
WR/RB/TE: Peyton Hillis

Bench:
Steve Smith (NYG)
Brandon Jackson
Damaryius Thomas
Marshawn Lynch
M Tolbert
Mike Bell
Hines Ward

PPR, 10 team league
Passing Yards 20 yards per point; 5 points at 300 yards
Rushing Yards 10 yards per point; 5 points at 100 yards
Reception Yards 10 yards per point; 5 points at 100 yards
6 point per TD, 1 pt per Reception

I think you accept the trade offer NOW, then look at moving some RB depth for another WR.

The other owner is impatient -- he's seen two subpar weeks out of CJ, and he just watched Reggie Wayne carve it up -- against a poor JAX team.

I know you are concerned about this week, especially with Marshall on bye... but wouldn't you risk losing this week in order to make a championship run? This transaction easily makes your squad stronger for the long-term.

I say take it and then deal from your strength (RB). Plenty of teams would benefit from one of your bench RBs once you put CJ into your lineup.

Help with mine if you have a chance.
When in doubt, punt!

I agree with the guys above. Long term the trade is in your favor. Once you pull the trigger trade some RB depth for a good WR2 to round out your lineup.

I would go ahead and make the deal you can't pass up on the chance to get CJ, and like everybody else already mentioned you should be able to move one of your other rb's for wr help.
