Well it wasn't pretty at all. It seemed like every single play, on both sides of the ball, someone for Oregon was either coming off the field limping or dangling an arm. Barner got a ride to the hospital where he'll probably spend the night. DT injured his shoulder and was out before halftime. Cliff Harris and Casey Matthews got dinged up, LaMike missed a few plays a couple different times...some others too I'm forgetting. Thank god Oregon is off next week.
Normally I'd feel good about a 20 point win, but this one just didn't taste very good. LaMike fumbled twice and lost both. Washington St. was pretty much able to move the ball with ease. That soft zone, bend but don't break, crap was frustrating as hell.
Positives: Cliff Harris returns his 3rd punt for a TD on the season. Nate Costa was fantastic in backup duty, 13/15 - 151 yards, and a TD. He also rushed 8 times for 84 yards and another score. Oregon has yet to give up any points in the 4th quarter. James still had over 220 yards and 3 TD's....those fumbles though, don't like that.
Oregon might slide into the #2 spot with Alabama losing, we'll see. I'd really have liked to see a more convincing win, but what are you gonna do?
