Trade MJD for a hurt Andre Johnson WHIR

Postby Remy » Fri Oct 08, 2010 8:10 pm

I have been offered AJ for MJD. I am hurting at Wide Reciever. Should I pull the trigger on a hurt AJ. Current format is Standard. 1 point for every 10 yards receiving or rushing. 6 points for TD. This is not a PPR League.

My Current Lineup

Peyton Manning
Pierre Garcon
Eddie Royal
Mario Manningham
Michael Turner
MJD
Shiancoe
Bironas
Dallas D/ST

Bench
Jamaal Charles
Mike Williams (TB)
Brandon Tate
Steve Johnson
Chris Cooley

Man, I think I would. You could slide Charles in at RB, but the big problem is, you would have no RB on the bench. If I were you, I would try and trade MJD for a lower RB and a lower WR than AJ. But I think you need to do something at WR. Your best WR is Royal, and I don't think that will get you far enough.

Yeah do it... With J.Charles you have the leverage..
Grab A.Johnson now, before he comes back with a 15reception 200yard 3 TD game!

Good Luck To Ya!

Honestly, I think MJD is better than Andre Johnson but given your situation at WR I would make the trade and take AJ. Jamaal Charles is a stud and I wish I could have got him on my team.

Still having trouble with this trade. Now even more now that AJ might not play Sunday. Do you think maybe Turner for AJ instead? Who would you rather have/ Turner or MJD?

If you can get AJ for turner you should immediately taken and make sure to send him a thank you card.

Even if AJ sits this week, it's a good deal for you. Trades are usually about long term value unless they happen very late in the season, and even then, mostly about long term value the rest of the way. Turner for AJ is fantastic, but the other deal is good too. Complete either one, and don't forget to send that thank you card! Good luck!

Thanks for the help on mine. I may do this trade (although I think MJD is more valuable than AJ), but I certainly wouldn't do it before this weekend. MJD has a juicy matchup against the Bills and will likely put up big numbers, while AJ may not even play and if he does - I don't expect a big week. Hang tight this weekend, get the major points from MJD, and reassess your situation on Monday. I would look to shop MJD to other owners of top WRs - see if they need a RB - and see if they will part with said top WR (Wayne, Austin, White, maybe a few others). If not, I may see what J Charles will get you. IF neither of those options are promising, then I look back at the MJD for AJ trade.

I def would not do this man. MJD is a top tier running back while you can pick up any WR in the free agency.
