2 RB slots for Foster/Best/Hillis. Trade Best for Gates?

10 teamer league, standard yahoo scoring.

Roster

QB Aaron Rodgers
WR Andre Johnson
WR Calvin Johnson
WR Terrell Owens
RB Arian Foster
RB Jahvid Best
TE Tony Gonzalez
K Neil Rackers
DEF Pittsburgh

Bench
Peyton Hillis, Ronnie Brown, Dwayne Bowe, Jacoby Jones, Kellen Winslow, Mohamed Massaquoi, Minnesota D.

So I have 2 starting RB slots but I've got Foster/Best/Hillis/Brown. Too much talent wasted on my bench. My TE isn't that weak, but the weakest spot on the team, so I sent some offers to the owners of Gates/Clark/Finley.

Best offer I got back was... he'll send me Gates and Caddy Williams if I give him Best and Gonzalez. Caddy Williams is basically a throw-in... he needs a TE to replace Gates so he just put in Williams to make the deal 2 for 2.

Gates has gone absolutely nuts so far, but is that going to continue as teams roll their best corner to cover him? Best has had some crazy good games too - will that keep up?

I guess the important question is... can I plug in Hillis for the rest of the year instead of Best, and lose less value than I gain from going from Gonzo to Gates? Would you guys make this trade?

I would make this trade. Gates has receiving talent around him and an elite QB. I don't see much opposing Ds can do to make a significant dent in his numbers. Best on the other hand has no one. If you look at his stats, he has been getting TDs but very limited yardage. And this is coming from a huge Cal fan who was super high on Best to start the season. Hillis is the man in Cleveland and should remain a very serviceable RB2 for the rest of the season.
QB - A Rodgers, E Manning
RB - A Foster, S Jackson, R Mendenhall, T Jones, R Bush
WR - G Jennings, L Fitz, S Smith (Car), P Harvin, V Jackson
TE - A Hernandez, J Tamme

WIth Ronnie Brown on the bench as well, I'd make the deal too. I'd make an effort to get any RB with more value than Caddy, but if he isn't budging, I think you do it anyway. There's no reason to expect Gates to not continue to have a monstrous year, and Tony G isn't quite the same guy he was. Hillis is just fine at your RB2. Good luck!
