Who got the better trade?

Postby kabreeding » Sat Oct 09, 2010 5:29 am

This is a PPR league and pts for Return yards.

Guy #1 is giving up Peyton Manning and Steven Jackson

Guy#2 is giving up Kyle Orton, Randy Moss, and Brandon Tate(Is #5 is WR fantasy points because of his return yards)

Does this look like a fair trade? If not, why?

Nothing lopsided about it, but I think the guy getting Peyton and SJax got the better end of the deal. Orton's been great, but has a history of cooling off as the season goes on. Once Moreno gets back they won't be quite as pass heavy, imo. Still a pass first team, just not as much. Basically that was a two stud for one and a half stud trade. And you just don't know what's going to happen with Moss. Yes, it all looks good. But Favre has looked very bad, and I don't know if I buy the whole "throw it up there and let him go get it" argument as far as the trade jump-starting his season.

I think that guy number 1 gave up a little more in terms of overall value, but if he was hurting at WR, then it's a fair deal. This is one of those trades that can clearly benefit both teams. I certainly don't think it's a bad deal on the face of it.
