I'd be giving up aj for best and colston. I am concerned about both best's and aj's health going forward. It's a 12 team .33 ppr league. I lost grant in week 1 and have been looking for a #1 rb all season. I feel like i have a smattering of #2/flex type at RB and best has big time potential is at least a good #2 low-end #1 type RB. I dont really like this, I think Best has been playing above his head. I don't however, think this turf toe thing will be a problem all year if thats what youre worried about. I think AJ should be coming back strong, he had a full 2 weeks to rest that ankle. Colston is a constant question mark. I still dont get why he's rated so highly, he's not really a #1 reciever, that team has no #1.. any reciever any given week can be the #1. Still, Colston has been an aboslute disapointment this year.
Damn I feel like a dick after hearing everyone else's responses but I think I would accept this trade. AJ is a beast but if you need help at RB I think Best and Colston make up for what you lose in AJ. Best will be fine and when Stafford gets back he'll have even better running games. Colston can't get much worse, you have to figure he'll get his 10+ TDs he's been getting with Brees slingin it.
I'd pass on this too. AJ is a beast and will provide tremendous value. I just don't think it's worth dealing a stud for two question marks. I like Best, but there are obvious concerns there; if he had a valuable player to handcuff to him I'd say make the deal, but he clearly doesnt and there's the potential that you loose a lot of value from here on out.
It's not a terrible offer, so maybe the other guy has a better, safer, option at WR. Otherwise, look for another RB.
I am in the situation as you, I have AJ and I lost Ryan Grant. 12 team league with 1/2 point PPR. But I don't think u should do this trade. I don't doubt that Best is a good RB, but his low yards per carry is alarming. I'd suggest do what I'm doin and try to make a deal for someone like Mendenhall or Steven Jackson and taking the hit on the second player you receive or make it a 2 for 2 deal. AJ for Best and Colston is not so bad, but u can do better and since u picked up Torrain, u at least have a RB to keep u afloat for a little while
Thanks for the help on mine, and while I'm guessing you'd like to make the deal, I'd want a little more value than what you are getting. However, if you think Best is the real deal than by all means do it like some others have said.
I personally don't have faith in Best continuing to put up high numbers, and Colston is all over the place. I always want to upgrade my lineup, and 1)I do think you are selling Andre Johnson low (which is obviously never a good idea) and 2)I don't think you upgrade your starting lineup enough to justify trading a stud like AJ.
I'm not saying don't trade AJ, but here has to be some team out there that is horrendous at WR and maybe has a stronger RB they could send you and another buy low WR or WR with potential in a 2 for 1?
