what Defensive plays are Possible on PAT and 2 Point Tries?

Postby WeekSixteen » Mon Oct 11, 2010 11:11 pm

I'm watching the Jets/Vikings and the Jets intercepted a 2 point conversion but I didn't get any points for it in fantasy so I assume that NFL stat keepers do not count interceptions on 2 point trys?

Does this hold true for fumble recoveries... what if the opposing team takes it back the other way... can they score 2 points?

What is possible?

Nothing counts except a successful or failed try. It's a dead ball on an INT or fumble recovery and neither counts as an official INT or fumble recovery in the game stats. In college the intercepting team can return a 2 pt attempt for their own 2 pt conversion, not so in the NFL.
