RB depth has been a killer for most teams. Up until last week I was pretty worried as Fred Jackson and Michael Bush were MIA thus far. Now both are currently the top backs on their mediocre offenses. So this guy with a plethora of stud wides is a big Raiders fan and offered me my pick of one of his studs straight up for Bush. Obviously he's very weak at RB.
The guy on the top of this list is Randy Moss. He also offered up Brandon Lloyd, Santonio Holmes, Crabtree or even Reggie Wayne if I sweeten the deal a little bit. Am I crazy to not do this deal? If I let go of Bush, my RB's aren't outstanding, though I don't even give up one of my top 2 guys. I guess I'm reluctant because RB depth is so hard to come by with 14 teams, but aside from my top 3 wides, I've got a bunch of schmoes.
Here's my roster, we start one flex which would be Bush this week, but he wants this deal for this weekend, so it would likely be whomever I get in return.
QB - T. Romo RB - A. Peterson, A. Bradshaw, M. Bush, F. Jackson, L. Betts, D. Brown WR - M. Austin, W. Welker, M. Wallace, Dem. Thomas, L. Naanee, D. Heyward-Bey TE - A. Hernandez K - J. Carney D/ST - Bengals
I know what you mean about RB's hard to come by in a 14 team league....... Haven't kept up much on any of the players in questions.....but here's my take..... The Raiders will likely be playing from behind....not sure about McFadden's injury, but won't that be a time share when he's back???? Isn't Addai hurting???could give Brown a chance to shine.....
You'd have some strong WR's....hopefully it's PPR I'd take the deal.......
12 Team 4 player keeper no strings. Standard roster/scoring except can start TE at flex QB Stafford, Kaepernick RB Foster, McFadden, SJax, Moreno, B. Tate WR D. Thomas, Nicks, D. Moore, Maclin, A. Brown TE M. Bennett K Jani D Lions, Dolphins
I would take Moss or Wayne and not think twice about it.
Think about it, you're getting a 1st round pick(Moss or Wayne) and giving up a 6th round pick(Bush) who will be splitting carries once McFadden is healthy.
Wayne is his best WR IMHO, but if he wants more for him, I wouldn't get greedy and just take the Bush for Moss deal.
Normally in a league with a RB/WR flex, I'd rather stay stronger at RB since it's often functionally a situation where you're best off starting 3 RBs, but I think Moss is the kind of flex play that negates that. He'll outscore Bush. I'd pull the trigger.
With McFadden hurt I'd prefer Bush to Moss in a non-PPR league, but once McFadden returns there will be some sort of split of carries there. I just don't see Bush being the guy. As was mentioned, you're getting a first round WR for a mid round running back.
