So I have fallen victim to the injury bug this year, and the latest injury being Jermichael Finley being out for 8-10 weeks, and likely out for the entire season. So I picked up Heath Miller, and have the option of picking up others like Heap, Pettigrew, Quarless, Sheffler, etc.
However, here are the owners with 2 TE's, so I may be able to trade for: Aaron Hernandez, Witten, Celek, Kellar, Shockey, Cooley, and Tony Gonzalez.
Here's my lineup, and I got a lot of RB depth, but I'm not sure if it is worth it to give up one of my RB's for one of these mid-level TE's.
QB: Vick, Eli Manning, McNabb
RB: Michael Turner, Jones-Drew, Ryan Matthews, Ronnie Brown, Ryan Torain
WR: Boldin, Nicks, Holmes, Walter
TE: Heath Miller
It is your typical league, QB, 2 RB's, FLEX, 2 WR's, TE, DST, K
So most weeks i'll be starting Turner, MJD, and then interchanging between Matthews, Brown, and Torain based on their matchup. But most weeks, assuming no Bye's 2 of my RB's will be sitting. However, that time of the schedule is coming up where roughly every week someone is on a bye, and I need bench depth. Is it worth it to give up someone like Torain or Ronnie Brown for someone like Aaron Hernandez or Chris Cooley? I'm just not sure if it is worth trading a good RB for a mediocre TE, who is not much better than what is available on the free agent market. Do I really benefit that much more from Aaron Hernandez/Cooley/etc than Heath Miller? And if I do go for a deal, who would you recommend, i'd be leaning towards Hernandez. What do yall think?
