Traditional scoring league, I was offered this trade:
I give up Andre Johnson and Darren McFadden and receive Frank Gore
At WR and RB I have:
WR: Andre Johnson, Roddy White, Brandon Marshall, Percy Harvin, Jeremy Maclin, Mike Williams RB: Arian Foster, Ryan Torain, Ryan Mathews, Darren McFadden
The league only starts 2 RB and 3 WR. I really don't have a good 2nd starter at RB, but I was thinking Torain could maybe fill that problem for me. On the other hand I have a lot at WR, but would be giving up an ace. Thanks for any help guys.
Hmmm... That's a tough one. I don't think McFadden will be a great fantasy back for the rest of the season. I think when he does get healthy (if he does, dude is always hurt), he will be splitting carries with Bush. So he is expendable. And with the inconsistencies of Matthews and the questionmark of Torain, you do need a reliable 2nd RB. I don't think your too hurt by losing Johnson because Harvin is going to get a lot more looks with Moss opening the field up for him. And Maclin isn't a bad option either, especially when Vick comes back (he is one of Vick's favorite targets). So I say pull the trigger. And another reason is that you don't know how long Andre Johnson's bum ankle will linger for. An injury like that may last all season long.
For some reason that trade just isn't enough to me. See if he will let go of one of his WR that are potential sleepers or a good #2 option to go along with Gore.

I kind of agree, but only because DMC "has" done well this year (until he got hurt). Maybe you can get him to throw something else in.
That being said, even if he doesn't, I'd still make the trade. You have. DEEP WR corp, and the addition of Gore will be awesome for you.
This trade seems to help your team. Your RB2 gets a major upgrade, while your WRs don't take quite as big a hit since you have such great depth. That being said, I still think the scales are tipped in the other guy's favor. If he wants AJ, he should give Gore straight up, or more fair would be Roddy and McFadden for Gore.
I agree, ask for something else a WR, cus Gore hasn't been doing that great I don't think, and he's getting a sleeper with McFadden (I think everyone is writing off McFadden a little early... he was like top 5 before a little hammy tweak...) but you do have WR depth so investigate a slightly better trade! 12 Team 4 player keeper no strings. Standard roster/scoring except can start TE at flex QB Stafford, Kaepernick RB Foster, McFadden, SJax, Moreno, B. Tate WR D. Thomas, Nicks, D. Moore, Maclin, A. Brown TE M. Bennett K Jani D Lions, Dolphins
Ask for a WR, you have the depth, but Gore is doing that great, McFadden could still be worth something, Johnsons gonna go nuts. HELP ME viewtopic.php?f=18&t=480622

Well I think that you are lacking a top rb on your team and Gore could fill that role. I'm not a big fan of McFadden and think he is injury prone and more of a 3rd down back than a every down rb, so to me that is no big lose for you. AJ is the big issue, once he is back to full speed he is a beast, but how long will that take. I am a 49ers fan, but they scare me this year and I'm not sure I would trust anyone on there roster. I think I would pass for now. Thanks for the help on mine.
I think you have to get wr as well. I wouldnt give both for Gore even though he is having a good season. The QB issue is to bad at this point to think that he will be stellar all year. McFadden proved his worth before going down and he will figure right back into the mix when healthy. Ask for a WR of the Knox or Wallace variety and I would say yeah!
