Tough calls this week - WHIR as always!

Postby chcbb » Thu Oct 14, 2010 7:36 am

Started the season w/ 3 wins, am now 3-2 after a lot of under-performances the last 2 weeks.
Not too confident about who to start, could use my advice for most of my lineup.
Start 1QB 2WR 2RB 1Flex 1TE 1K 1D/ST ... mostly standard Yahoo scoring, non-PPR

Guys I'm leaning towards in bold, subject to input from y'all

QB - Schaub v KC, Flacco @ NE
On paper Flacco has a better matchup, but Schaub is due for some points... right? Maybe? No? KC hold Peyton in check last week...

WR - C. Johnson @ NYG, Floyd @ StL, Jennings v Mia, Edwards @ Den
Pretty sure I want to start CJ & Floyd, Jennings just isn't getting enough looks... Braylon is tempting but not over the first two...

RB - C. Johnson @ Jac, Charles @ Hou, Hillis @ Pit, Torain v. Ind (flex)
CJ2k Obviously and Charles has a good matchup at Houston. Hillis is a little banged up and the Steelers are tough against the run ... I'm actually thinking Torain at flex against a bad Indy run D...

TE - Celek v. Atl, Hernandez v. Bal
TE As a Pats fan I'd like to see Hernandez have a big game, but not sure Baltimore is the best matchup ... with Kolb (possibly) starting Celek seems like a safe play, although Atl can be tough.

I'd prolly roll with Edwards over Calvin,.. since Calvin hurt his shoulder on Sunday. He may play,.. but won't be 100%.
TD 6-12 varies on length, Any reverse role TD is DOUBLE PTS

Run/Rec 50yds=2, 100=4, 150=6, 200=10
Passing 250yds=1, 300=3, 350=4, 400=5, 450=7

FG= 3-12 varies on length.

D/ST sack=1, under 300yds=3 ,INT/FR=1. D/ST TD's are DOUBLE PTS.

Ah thanks for reminding me, I had totally forgotten about Calvin's injury! Not to mention the Giants pass-D is looking good this year. You like Braylon over Jennings too then?

I think I like Flacco better, BAL's offense might really get going now...And like you said, KC just shut down Manning at IND.....
I would check what the weather is doing in NE on Sunday and let that contribute to your decision some too. Looks by your logo that you should know :-) Maybe you just don't want Flacco to torch your Pats, I know I've made fantasy choices on that regard and regretted, but I'm a Rams fan :-o
For WR, I have CJ as well and we just have to keep an eye on his shoulder. I read this morning that he is having trouble putting on shirts and cant lift his arm above his head. Supposedly nothing too serious that will keep him out long term but I got him on my bench this week as of today. If he goes, you almost have to start him though, he's really starting to hook up with Hill....nothing like playing the Rams to get your QB & WR on the same page :-) Defintite YES on Floyd and you'll have to go Jennings if CJ doesn't go b/c DEN pass D is good
So, you gotta flex an RB - Torain
And your RB's are fo-sho right!
Yes on Celek too.

Help with my 2?:
