Yes, although it's tough to get accurate results on KRTDs and PRTDs this early in the season.

I'm planning on having an "accountability" follow up on this where I discuss what went right and what went wrong and how to detect and avoid the ones that didn't pan out. A quick preliminary look at this had me hitting about 10 of these within 5 spots of where they were expected to be, although an equal number of them missing the mark considerably (which we will discuss soon enough).

My schedule for the next week's defensive scoring:

- Tuesday: a quick recap of the results, where I succeeded and where I failed.
- Wednesday: a review of the raw data, how it could be data mined to give better results, what would not have mattered regardless of data mining, and which direction we'll push to try to garner more accurate results.
- Thursday: Week 7 effort with the new metrics.

I hope to follow this through the rest of the season, adding into Tuesday's post each previously used variation of the numbers to make sure we're going in the right direction instead of the wrong direction.

I like the niners a lot and was planning to target them on WW, but then I found out that Bouman is starting for Jax, on a short week, at Arrowhead. I think I like KC D more

I'm behind in posting, but I have the accountability metrics at home as well as a potential minor fix (which doesn't necessarily move the needle a bunch, but the subtle tweak allowed data mined results to come up about 0.8 spots better).

And I've essentially automated the process so cranking out the stats won't take more than 10 minutes, most of which will be used to type of the post and make the formatting pretty.

Expect all three posts (two in this thread and a new thread) to be completed tonight.
