WR Pickup HELP

Postby capitalh » Thu Oct 14, 2010 11:31 am

Greetings!

I think I need some help at WR since Calvin might have a serious injury and my only backup that has seen action this year is Lee Evans. I picked up Michael Jenkins as a knee-jerk reaction to missing out on Amendola. The WR free agents in my league are pretty slim pickins at this point, but someone just dropped Manningham. I realize he is only a WR3 in NY and he hasn't gotten any points the last two weeks, but he has been plenty solid before that. Still, Jenkins will be immediately inserted into the Falcons offense right behind Roddy and could pay off nicely if things start clicking for him. Am I crazy to hold on to jenkins and let manningham slip by?

My team follows:

12 team yahoo H2H league

Offense
QB - Matt Ryan (Atl - QB)
WR - Calvin Johnson (Det - WR)
WR - Jeremy Maclin (Phi - WR)
WR - Santana Moss (Was - WR)
RB - Michael Turner (Atl - RB)
RB - Michael Bush (Oak - RB)
TE - Brandon Pettigrew (Det - TE)
W/R/T - Joseph Addai (Ind - RB)
BN - Cedric Benson (Cin - RB)
BN - Brandon Jackson (GB - RB)
BN - John Carlson (Sea - TE)
BN - Brett Favre (Min - QB)
BN - Lee Evans (Buf - WR)
BN - Ryan Torain (Was - RB)
BN - Michael Jenkins (Atl - WR)

Kickers
K - Adam Vinatieri (Ind - K)

Defense/Special Teams
DEF - Green Bay (GB - DEF)

The top WRs in the FA pool are: Manningham, Cribbs, James Jones, Josh Morgan, Anthony Armstrong, Harry Douglas, Brian Hartline

What would you guys do? Right now I am not in a playoff spot in my league and I need something to boost me up (Also, yes, I know it would be great if I could trade an RB or two. Believe me, I have been trying. No one has been taking)

Thank you!
