Forte for Charles

Postby Dukieox » Thu Oct 14, 2010 1:24 pm

I just got offered Forte for my Charles. Thoughts?

Charles has a great schedule for the next month, so his value will likely rise. Also it appears that he's now the featured back.

However, Forte's having a great year...

No way. Forte is too hit or miss. Charles always produces when given the chance and I think as the year goes on he will get more and more carries. Forte only seems to produce on a couple of big plays and the rest of the time he does nothing. I'm not a big fan of inconsistency.

In a PPR league i'd rather have Forte but otherwise I think its a toss up. I think Forte will be slightly better this year, but Charles has an easier schedule and has already had his bye week. So I'd probably keep Charles in a standard league

It only appears like Forte is having a great year. Other than his Week 5 breakout, he has been rushing under 3.0 YPC. Week 1 was also fluky since he had 150 yards receiving and 2 receiving TDs. I would look at his Week 2 stats as what to expect out of Forte if that on a weekly basis.

Keep J.Charles.

I'm gonna say no to this deal - unless it's a PPR. If not, then I say you take your chances with Charles. KC isn't going to be able to get too much more production out of T. Jones at his age - and it seems like it's just a matter of time until Charles starts getting the lion's share of the carries. If it's a PPR league, then Forte has more value, since Chicago will throw a ton in Martz's offense, and Forte has been getting most of his yards via the pass.

Good luck!
