Should I Trade Ronnie Brown for Aaron Hernandez? WHIR!

Postby ICanGoAllTheWay » Thu Oct 14, 2010 7:08 pm

Hi there, so I lost Jermichael Finley for the rest of the fantasy season due to injury. So I'm in need of a TE. I just picked up Heath Miller, but I'm not sure if Heath Miller is worthy of starting in a 12 person league. I was offered Aaron Hernandez for Ronnie Brown. We play a standard QB, 2 RB, FLEX, 2WR, TE, K, DST league.

My RB depth is deep, I got:
Turner, MJD, Matthews, Brown and Torain.

So most weeks when there aren't any bye's, two of them will be sitting. However, there are a few ugly bye weeks ahead where I could use Brown to fill in. Do I pull the trigger. Do you think Hernandez is a big upgrade over Heath Miller? A Big enough upgrade to trade away Ronnie Brown. I'm thinking I may do it for the reason Brown looks off this season, he is yet to rush over for over 80 yards in a single game and has only found the end zone once, not to mention i think he is yet to get over 15 carries in a single game. Help me out here. Leave a link and i'll help you back. Thanks.

No i certainly wouldnt do it, you have great depth at running back and hernandez really isnt an upgrade over heath miller. Only reason miller hasnt done to well is because of big bens absence. Now that hes back hell get plenty of targets and will be a solid player. Brown does look alittle off this season to start but hes faced some tough defenses and the dolphins coach has been pass happy trying to get marshall the ball. I read on rotoworld that he is going back to a run first offense and brown has alot of favorrable matchups comming up. Dont do the trade and see how heath miller does this week with big ben back before you make any rash decisions. Besides if you trade brown i think you can get more bang for your buck.. Hope this helps..

Not much, I just picked up Heath Miller. There is also that kid Quarless who is the replacement in GB. Also Brandon Pettigrew the Lions TE and Moeki the KC TE. Other than that, that's about it. I could maybe do a big package and try for Antonio Gates, but i would have to give up a lot. Like I said I got Turner, MJD, Matthews, Torain and Brown. I don't want to deal MJD and Turner, and I doubt the guy would do a Matthew's and Brown deal. Even if he did that would leave me with no RB depth for bye weeks.

Do not make this trade. Miller and Hernandez will be close enough....RB depth is key, and you don't want to trade that away for maybe the extra 4-5 pts per game. Run with Miller for a few weeks, if that don't work, grab the KC TE.

Ask this guy if he's serious. Honestly, go ask him. I mean since when it a viable RB #2 only worth a TE that is available on most WW's for pick up???? Seriously??? Brown may not be great but if he were on the WW, he'd be picked up immediately. Hernendez has decent yardage but no TD's. He's not going to make a difference for you over anyone available on the WW IMO. Don't do this trade.

h.miller will be gettin' more numbers now that big ben is back. If this is a non ppr league, i'd keep my running backs and my flex options.
